Searching for a reason

While at the emergency vet clinic, hoping to save our cat, Moxie, the doctor asked what product we had used. In our rush, I had forgotten the bottle and had to Google the name of it to find out the ingredients. It was only then that I saw the frightening reviews telling a story of what I had witnessed with my own eyes. That is when I started to search for more information about Bio Spot Active Care and other products like it. The information I have found is bone chilling for me, and I wanted to share some of the pages with you.

NBC Los Angeles did an investigation into pet products, including the one we used: http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/Pet_Products_Concern.html

Here is Bio Spot's response to that report: http://www.revivalanimal.com/Shared/images/PDF/BioSpotShampooLetter.pdf

These are the Amazon reviews, and the first time I read that it could cause death: http://www.amazon.com/BioSpot-Active-Care-Shampoo-Kittens/product-reviews/B0036ZW3HO

Here is the webpage for other owners that have had similar issues with Bio Spot: http://www.biospotvictims.org/

This is an article discussing the Environmental Protection Agency and the need for clearer labels on these products: http://www.publicintegrity.org/2010/03/18/2711/epa-cracks-down-flea-tick-labels-wake-center-probe

There are nine class action lawsuits pending against the makers of these products: http://news.vin.com/VINNews.aspx?articleId=15414

I will continue to share this information until something is changed.
